With it
Our AI picks up, takes the problem and the address, and books one of your open times. When you check your phone, the job is already on your calendar.
On the call
It does the part you would do yourself.
Not a menu. It asks, listens, and writes down the problem in the caller's own words, so you know whether you are bringing a washer or a whole unit.
It asks callers to spell their name and reads it back, "G as in Golf". On a phone line B, D, P and T sound alike, which is how Cardona becomes Bardona in your records.
Whoever drives out needs to know where they are going. It gets the street and the city, reads it back, and will not book a job without one.
It reads your live calendar before it offers a time, so it will not put someone in a slot that is taken. If they change their mind mid-call, it moves the booking.

No new app. The appointment goes on your Google Calendar, and the call becomes a row in your Google Sheet: who rang, their number and what they needed.
Calls are not recorded and no transcripts are kept; you get a written summary instead.
Nights and weekends
Nobody books a burst pipe for Tuesday.
Tell it your hours. If you run emergency cover, an urgent job goes on your callback list with the address, and a job that can wait is still booked into the next time you are open. Gas or a burning smell: it tells them not to wait. Would you rather it kept booking overnight? It offers the next slot you actually have free.

It will not pretend to be a person.
It says it is an automated assistant for your business at the start of every call, and says so again if a caller asks. Then it carries on helping them.
It will not make something up.
If it does not know your pricing or whether you cover a job, it says it will have someone confirm rather than guessing.
It will not say someone is booked unless they are.
If the booking does not go through, it says so, and takes their details for a callback instead of leaving them expecting a van.
It will not handle a change of plan from yesterday.
Moving a booking works while the caller is still on that call. Somebody ringing back the next day to rearrange needs to reach you.
